The team @ VetMobile were prompt to respond to my request for euthanasia of my dog at home this past week. All communications were clear which helped during this difficult time. Extremely professional in their care of both my dog, my younger dog and me! My baby passed in my arms in a most gentle way. Thank you Dr. Cantrell for providing our community with your services.

I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Cantrell. She originally took care of our pets at the Petaluma Veterinary Hospital, but when she opened her own practice we didn’t think twice about following her. She has looked after our two dogs and cat for a few years now and I have no intention of going to anyone else. She is incredibly kind and compassionate, extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She works with you on treatment options to find not only the best approach for your pet, but the most affordable. She presents all options and works with you on the treatment plan. We are so happy with the care that her and her amazing team have provided — we HIGHLY recommend her.

Dr. Cantrell and her husband were wonderfully helpful, considerate, compassionate and professional, when we had to say goodbye to our old and ailing dog. It was a comfort to our dog and us that they came to our home. Their empathy help make the experience a blessed ritual of passage. Thank you both for your guiding hand and the lovely paw print you enclosed with your sympathy card.

We are forever grateful to Valerie and David for helping us through the difficult time of letting go and saying goodbye to our beloved sweet kitty of 19 years. Five months prior our regular vet did not communicate clearly at what stage of life our kitty was in, by the time I reached out to Dr Canttell, we were in panic mode, and needing to see a vet asap, she kindly recommended a larger practice who was able to see us right away and learn her true condition was much worse than we knew. I called Dr Cantrell back and scheduled a visit to our home to say goodbye to our sweet girl. Valerie and David were gracious and kind and loving. We are eternally gtateful for their help which allowed our kitty a peaceful passing at home in her own bed with no discomfort, pain or trauma of going to the vet. These two are angels.

So grateful to Valerie and David for providing compassionate and loving end of life care for my almost 18 year old dog, Maggie. Their gentle and positive energy was greatly appreciated. Being able to say goodbye to Maggie in the comfort of home helped to make her transition easier. Thank you Valerie and David from the bottom of my heart.

Dr. Cantrell is the greatest Vet I have ever encountered and I am deeply grateful to her for her kindness, compassion, intelligence, skill, and overall ability to be an effective Vet. Any pet owner within range of Dr. Cantrell’s incredible service would do well to have her as their family Vet. What a wonderful person

Every so often life sends you an angel, and in this case it was Dr. Cantrell. We were faced with the sad reality that we needed to put our beloved cat down, and due to the COVID-19 crisis we were really struggling with finding someone who could do it. The cat was suffering and in need of euthanasia, and I just happened to come across Dr Cantrell’s website. I did not take the time to read reviews or anything – it was an emergency – and she sprung into action, delicately explaining the process and handling my tears so well. Such a compassionate person and a consummate professional. She kept me posted on her arrival time and her gentle demeanor immediately made me feel like the “fit” was perfect, and it was.
I could not have asked for a better euthanasia experience for our cat, period. And this cat was the center of our lives and I had really high hopes for how it would work. She performed the task in our garden, where he loved to be, with the birds singing and the windchimes gently tinkling. It was incredibly sad and we were very distraught but she gently guided us through the process (“Now I’ll give you some last moments with him” as she stepped away) and we felt completely confident in her care. She also reviewed his labs and gave us an overall evaluation to help reaffirm our decision that it was time to do this, since we had never been through anything like this and were worried that we might somehow bounce back if we waited another day or two. It was the right decision and she helped us with that.
Thank you Dr. Cantrell for being our angel during such a dark time. Words cannot express our appreciation for the gift you gave us and our cat Hudson.

Cannot speak more highly of VetMobile and Dr. Cantrell. Her communications skill and responsiveness are fantastic – being able to communicate with my Vet AND actually receive thoughtful, comprehensive and timely responses are priceless. Time saved by having Dr. C come to my home is well worth the small house call fee. And most importantly, the care, kindness and empathy for my Vizsla are exceptional. I highly recommend you trust your pet to D. Cantrell. You will be happy you did.

We were referred to VetMobile by our normal vet. Our bulldog was getting very old and sick, so we made the tough decision to have her put down. VetMobile’s in-home euthanasia service was as good as can be, given the circumstance. They were communicative, understanding, compassionate and professional. The vet was incredibly kind and gave us plenty of space/time to say goodbye. She explained the process thoroughly, and made it much easier than we expected. She also provided us an ink paw print, claw print (adtl. fee), and ashes in a nice urn (adtl. fee). This is a vet you can trust with even the most difficult of services. Thank you, VetMobile, for your care. We really appreciated it.

This is my first time using a mobile vet, and it was a great experience. Dr. Cantrell had been my vet for about 3 years at a vet hospital, so when she decided to start her own mobile service, I knew that I wanted to follow her. She has a great rapport with my Australian Shepherd and has a very gentle and loving demeanor. Coming to the home put my dog more at ease. While she was there, she was able to give her a full exam, draw blood, cut her nails, get a stool sample, weigh her, trim out matted knots behind her ears, give her an injection, and provide me with a prescription! Later on that day, I received an email from her with a very thorough review of everything we went over during her visit, and it also accompanied a itemized receipt of everything that had been administered. I also received a personal phone call from her immediately upon getting my dog’s bloodwork back in which she went over the results. I feel this home visit was a much more personal experience than going to a vet’s office, and genuinely believe that more time is taken with each animal because there’s not such a strict time limit. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Cantrell’s services.

Valerie’s compassion and professional dedication lifted our heavy burden in a time of dire need. She fixed my 17-year old ‘puppy’ and gave us realistic hope for my dog’s future. Thank you for you truth and kindness. I can’t say enough good things about the service VetMobile provides.
